Service: Ride the Point
Ride the Hidden, Unridden, and Forbidden Point Loma in San Diego, CA! For the third year in a row, our members have enjoyed volunteering and cheering riders on at this event put together by the Point Loma Rotary Club. Ride the Point was inspired by Jim Krause, who was a bicyclist and Rotarian! He dedicated his life to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer, this event is dedicated to Jim and his passion for life.

Big West Rotaract Conference
For the second year since the chartering of our club our Rotaractors had the opportunity to attend a weekend long conference, Big West Rotaract Conference. This event is the largest gathering of Rotaractors on the West Coast of the United States. 15 of our members had the opportunity to network on a cruise with other Rotaractors, attend workshops and hear from many Rotarians! It was a weekend full of learning and most importantly fun in Long Beach, California!

International Service: Project Mercy Baja Challenge
Our Rotaractors participated in the first international service project of the year, Project Mercy Baja Challenge. Project Mercy's goal is the improvement of basic living standards and quality of life for impoverished families in Tijuana, Mexico. A total of 16 houses were built in one day!

Fellowship: Happy Hour
Our Rotaractors enjoyed a great night at Blind Lady Ale House along with new friends and other Rotaractors from District 5340. It was a fun night with good drinks and pizza and even a game of Apples to Apples!

Service: Coastal Clean Up Day
For the first time, City Heights Rotaract co-captained Costal Clean Up Day at Swan Canyon with community leader Becky Modesto. CHR had the opportunity to work alongside Cardinals Interact and SDSU students from Alpha Pi Sigma and Sigma Lamda Beta. Good work, everyone!

Fellowship: End of Summer Bonfire
Our Rotaractors gathered for the second year in a row to reminisce about summer and enjoy a night out by the water while enjoying s'mores. Getting together at De Anza Cove has become a great tradition for our members!

Service: Hoover Beautification Day with Hoover Alumni Association
For the third year in a row, our Rotaractors joined the Hoover Alumni Association to help beautify the Hoover campus before the start of the new school year. This year, our Rotaractors were in charge of organizing approximately 600 yearbooks!

City Heights Community Clean Up
After a storm drain stenciling event in June, our Rotaractors felt there was a lot of cleaning up to do in the streets of City Heights. This event kicked off the new Rotaract year! It was even more special because we were joined by a few community members!
